Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks that are suitable for a range of uses. The ability to make and design models for improved safety comes from the new technology that is available in the material handling industry and the company's experience.
Yale likes to integrate new technology which is available into their newest designs. Several of the new technologies which are on the market are first applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company conducts various reliability development and controlled field tests in order to make sure that their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology which has been incorporated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The ergonomics in the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids fatigue and heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Adjustable operator controls allow the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machinery user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Before beginning their shift, the operator can make sure he or she is as comfortable as she or he can be.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation known as the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the machine if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on IC engine truck units.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the liquid propane gas tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the operator's natural handling position making the tank easier to change.
